Accessing Privacy Settings

Click your profile icon in the top-right
Select Settings
Click Privacy (or find within Account)

Privacy Options

Show in Directory

What it controls: Whether your profile appears in public directories or search.

Setting	Effect
On	Others can find you when browsing
Off	Your profile is hidden from discovery

Recommended for:

On: Active buyers/sellers wanting visibility
Off: Those preferring to find others rather than be found

Allow Direct Contact

What it controls: Whether others can message you directly.

Setting	Effect
On	Anyone can start a conversation with you
Off	Only those you've interacted with can message

Recommended for:

On: Open to opportunities and questions
Off: Focused only on existing relationships

What's Always Public

Some information is visible regardless of settings:

For Buyers

When you create a lead request, sellers can see:

Lead request details (title, description, price)
Your public profile (name, bio, photo if set)
Your location

For Sellers

When you submit leads, buyers can see:

Your public profile
Your acceptance rate
Your seller history

Certain information is never shared:

Public Lead Requests

By default, lead requests are public:

Visible in Explore
Searchable
Sellers can submit

Pausing vs. Hiding

If you want to reduce visibility:

Pause: Temporarily stops submissions, may still be visible
Delete: Removes completely

Message Privacy

Who Can Message You

Controlled by "Allow Direct Contact" setting:

Blocking Users

If someone is bothering you:

Open the conversation
Click Block User or report option
They can no longer contact you

You need at least a name for the platform, but you can use minimal information and privacy settings.
