How to Create Your First Lead Request

A lead request tells sellers exactly what kind of leads you're looking for. This guide walks you through creating your first one.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • ✅ A Buyer or Both account type
  • ✅ A clear idea of what leads you need
  • ✅ Your budget in mind

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Start a New Lead Request

  1. Click the + Create button in the navigation bar
  2. Or go to Lead RequestsCreate New
  3. Or visit /new directly

Step 2: Choose Your Category

Select the category that best describes the leads you need:

  1. L1 Category – Choose the broad category (e.g., "Home Services")
  2. L2 Category – Choose the subcategory (e.g., "Cleaning")
  3. L3 Category – Choose the specific service (e.g., "House Cleaning")

Tip: Be as specific as possible. "House Cleaning" will attract better leads than just "Cleaning."

Step 3: Set Your Profession

Enter your profession or business type. This helps sellers understand who they're submitting leads to.

Examples: "Professional House Cleaner," "Cleaning Company," "Domestic Cleaning Service"

Step 4: Set Your Price Per Lead

This is how much you'll pay for each lead you purchase.

  • Minimum: £5 per lead
  • No maximum: Set whatever price works for your business

Pricing tips:

  • Higher prices attract more and better quality leads
  • Consider your customer lifetime value when setting prices
  • You can adjust this later if needed

Step 5: Set Your Monthly Budget

This is the maximum you'll spend per month on this lead request.

  • Must be at least 2x your price per lead
  • Once you hit your budget, sellers can't submit more leads until next month
  • You can increase your budget anytime

Step 6: Location Settings (Optional)

Want leads from specific areas? Enable location filtering:

  1. Toggle "Filter by location" on
  2. Select countries – Choose which countries you accept leads from
  3. Select cities (optional) – Narrow down to specific cities

Example: A London plumber might select "United Kingdom" and "London, Manchester, Birmingham"

Step 7: Enable Auto-Pay (Optional)

Turn on Auto-Pay to automatically purchase leads that match your criteria.

  • Requires a saved payment method
  • Only purchases leads up to your monthly budget
  • You can review and manage in Settings → Billing

When to use Auto-Pay:

  • You want leads immediately without manual review
  • You trust the platform's lead scoring
  • You have consistent capacity for new customers

Step 8: Add Description (Recommended)

Add details to help sellers understand what you're looking for:

Service Description – What do you offer?

"We provide professional house cleaning services including regular cleaning, deep cleaning, and end-of-tenancy cleaning across Greater London."

Lead Description – What makes a good lead for you?

"Homeowners or renters looking for regular weekly or bi-weekly cleaning. Properties between 1-4 bedrooms. Budget of at least £15/hour."

Step 9: Add Terms (Optional)

List any specific requirements sellers must agree to:

  • "Lead must be the homeowner or have authority to book"
  • "Lead must be within 20 miles of Central London"
  • "Lead needs service within the next 30 days"

Step 10: Add FAQs (Optional)

Answer common questions sellers might have:

Q: What areas do you cover?

A: We cover all of Greater London, including zones 1-6.

Q: How quickly do you need leads?

A: We prefer leads needing service within 2 weeks.

Step 11: Add Images (Optional)

Upload images to make your listing more attractive:

  • Your team or work photos
  • Before/after examples
  • Company logo

Step 12: Review and Publish

  1. Review all your settings
  2. Click Publish to make your lead request live
  3. Or click Save as Draft to finish later

After Publishing

Once live, your lead request will appear on:

  • The Explore page for sellers to find
  • Category pages matching your service
  • Search results

You'll be notified when sellers submit leads.
